The Dream Team launches improved website

Jan 6, 2009

The Dream Team invites friends and supporters to visit its newly designed website.  Powered by Mantis CMS software, this website will allow us to make effective use of low cost, web based tools to enhance our communications capacity.  This technology also provides us platform to deploy online community building projects in the future.

Funding for this project was generously provided by the Government of Canada's Homelessness Partnership Initiative, administered by the City of Toronto in collaboration with United Way Toronto through the Sharing Homelessness Innovations for Toronto (SHIFT) program.

We would also like to thank c-Seven Media Inc. for providing free of charge custom made software and technical advice and support in developing this website.

To see our website please visit  www.thedreamteam.ca

About the Dream Team:

The Dream Team is a group of men and women who live with mental health issues, their family members and other users of supportive housing.  Many Dream Team members have been homeless at an earlier point in their lives.   Over the last ten years member of the Dream Team have come together through involvement in their own housing to create a member-driven organization.  Together they emphasize the life-altering benefits of supportive housing, advocate for more supportive housing and challenge stigma related to mental health.  They do this by telling their individual stories and making presentations to politicians, community groups, schools, faith groups and other institutions.  For further information please contact Pedro Cabezas, Dream Team Coordinator at 416.516.1422 ext 263
